[Following obituary of James Carew, ae. 26.]
Heaven lent the blessing--why should we complain,
That Heaven remands the well lov'd loan again;
He's gone where griefs can never cloud the eye,
And mounts triumphant to his native sky,
There virtue'll seat him in the bless'd abode,
To enjoy the eternal presence of the God.
